GRAD 695 Project Management Research Paper Capstone Options and Description

The intent of this approval form is to ensure that students in GRAD 695 select a topic that is related to agile or traditional project management and appropriate for their capstone experience.  CPT students should  choose a topic related to their area of employment. Topics should be based in a current problem or issue within the field of project management using the 5W process outlined below. The following table provides some examples to explore while developing your own topic of interest:

Examples:

·        Adapting Agile Project Management in Regulated Pharmaceuticals

·        Soft Skills Influence in Project Managers in the Cloud Space

·        Applying Lean to Global Software Development

·        Risk Assessment in Automotive Durability Testing

·        Challenges of Using Scrum in Globally Distributed Teams

Unacceptable criteria that will result in a failing grade:

·        Topics NOT related to agile or lean project management

·        Topics that address an operational issue versus a project management issue

·        Papers that do NOT address a current problem/issue being faced or simply provide a historic/ chronological/descriptive overview of a topic

·        Topics that too closely replicate existing thesis topics (see HU Digital Commons and HU PMGT website)
