I learned about how o rganizational or people have had a tough time in keep ing data safe in the current 21 st century due to the emerging threats of cyberattacks that are taking advantage of advanced technology and making it has become difficult for the information security personel to safely make kept the information confidential (Papaioannou et al., 2020) . When asserting on this course The Institute of Information Security, (2022) , elucidates that the key assets of information management in an organization are the people, but they are not well-trained to detect any threats arising from siphoning of these intellectual properties. The emerging threats and countermeasures scrutiny has proven beneficial in cyber security in regard to examining potential threats and ways of countermeasure and that is the thesis of this reflection.

Many companies have adopted and opened new doors for information security but this has attracted many cyber criminals to siphon their data. European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, (2022) , highlights various prime threats that are dangerous to the company’s data. I learned about new attacks such as r ansomware where cybercriminals encrypt the data of an organization with a demand for payment to restore it back to access. There is also cryptojacking where cybercriminals use an organization’s computing ability secretly to produce cryp tocurrency. Malware is also another threat that causes a process that affects the organization’s system. I will use this knowledge to guide organization I work in accordingly
