OE Discussion week 2

The reading from the Langer text this week introduces the question of whether IT matters. Specifically, if everyone is using technology, then how can technology be a differentiator and help a company to create or maintain competitive advantage? For the discussion this week, evaluate your current or a previous organization, and discuss your position on this question. Does IT enable your company to create or maintain a competitive advantage? Why or why not?

With respect to the company am currently working in, I can confidently say that IT is capable of enabling an organization to maintain a competitive advantage ( Koch , 2017) . With the research that has been done early this century and with consideration of Langer’s insights, technology has made massive improvements and it has been important to every organization.

In the company am currently working in as an Internet Service Provider, IT is present i n all of the activities the organization carries out. Through the organization’s mobile app, customers are capable of utilizing the company’s features from the Internet setup of the company. The app conveniently allows our customers to access any service of the organization from wherever they are on this planet.
